About Centre

The OKO Story and Animation Center offers: exhibitions, the Kreska Cinema – with screenings for younger and older audiences, educational activities, and artistic events.

Here, everything is possible and everyone gets to be who they want. The rules are simple – whatever happens, the story must conclude with a happy end. But along the way, you’re free to embrace as much fun and creative effort as you want.

One of OKO’s biggest attractions is the interactive permanent exhibition located on two floors of the building. The entire display was designed to introduce the visitors to the most important milestones in the history of the Animated Film Studio, as well as to the process of creating classical hand-drawn animations. Aside from rich know-how, the exhibition also offers attendees a variety of fun activities. The display is divided into seven distinct thematic sections:

  • The history of the Animated Film Studio
  • Crafting screenplays and characters in animated film
  • Crafting backgrounds in animated film
  • Breathing life into the image
  • Sound engineering in animation
  • Entering the realm of the imagination
  • Pop culture craze
  • Festival fever

Everything starts with a single line. Whether it’s a wildly popular animated film or a child’s drawing – the first line marks the beginning. Every stroke of the pencil contributes something to the story. And we collect these stories for everyone to see!
